HEARTH

E RT Kingdom is a project devoted to knitwear culture, rooted in the universe of wool and natural fibers, embracing machine and hand knitting as complementary practices.

Founded in 2021 by Giulia Terzi, the project was born from the desire to reimagine knitwear as a form of expression grounded in the respect for raw materials, production processes, and the people involved at every stage.

E RT works with a clear intention: to separate appearance from substance, to value responsibility and quiet consistency rather than conveying trend or excess, and to give priority to what is made, how it is made, and who makes it. The visual identity does not describe the product directly; it introduces a pause. Images are blurred, grainy, asymmetrical, and often without a clear focal point. They convey a world in motion rather than a fixed representation. Product references are indirect or absent by design, slowing perception and activating interpretation.

While the visual language remains ambiguous, the product is clear, essential, and technically precise. The project is conceived as a long-term journey, with the aim of focusing on a single material, a technique, a specific craftsmanship process, in order to fully explore and express its highest potential. This is done with the utmost respect for tradition, while reinterpreting it in a contemporary way. Each piece results from a fully traceable process, carried out with constant attention. Every collaborator is known by name, and each phase of production is verified within a deliberately small network built on trust, shared values, and long-term commitment.

E RT uses exclusively 100% natural fibers, selected from certified spinners and unique artisans. E RT sources the finest certified merino wool yarn available from New Zealand, which is mulesing-free guaranteed.

The Shetland yarn comes from a small number of sheeps material raised in the far North of Scotland, which makes it a naturally limited with exceptional thermal properties. Each garment is knitted as a single seamless piece using the traditional Shetland method and assembled by hand making them one single liquid sculpture, fully revesible. The most high form of devotion to knitting culture.

The goal is not to impress, but to offer garments that are honest, durable, and respectful of time, materials, and people. Objects are made to exist naturally in everyday life and to gain meaning through use rather than explanation.
